MeshLab is a smooth-running OSX application that provides the required tools to preview, render, edit and process unstructured 3D triangular meshes.
Thanks to MeshLab's comprehensive set of editing tools you can process, clean, heal, inspect, convert and render a wide variety of unstructured models from 3D scanning.
Moreover, MeshLab' architecture and the core mesh processing tasks are based on the VCG library developed at the Visual Computing Lab of ISTI - CNR.
MeshLab features an user-oriented interface from which you have quick and easy access to all the tools you might need.
The loaded model can be previewed from multiple angles, analyzed, measured, painted and rendered with just a few mouse clicks.
What is more, you can choose between over nine different rendering modes, change the lighting along with the color and the shaders.
In addition, MeshLab is capable to import and export to numerous formats such as PLY, OBJ, COLLADA, PTX, V3D, DXF, GTS, VRML and X3DV just to name a few.
As an added bonus, you can use MeshLab to convert 3D meshes into U3D format and create PDF files with 3D objects.
